Not Enough Room for Him Here (2025)
Ceramics Using Mid-Fire Clay
In the piece Not Enough Room for Him Here, the vase functions as a symbol for the self to be interpreted both physically and symbolically. Focusing on this duality, in one interpretation, the sense of self, which is male, is looking to break out of the vessel it inhabits, which is female. On the other end, the things physically growing inside her strains to fight its way out of a body that doesn’t even belong to her.
