Within Frames (2019)
Oil Paint on BoardThis painting is made up of a made up space from memory. It is both a space familiar to me yet nonexistent. It blends times together that may not match, yet to me exude the same feeling. Almost like an impression of one space onto another. The frames follow the idea of parents hanging up photos of their children around the house. A reminder of a memory. Sometimes the memory is, “I hated taking that photo. They had to bribe me with food to smile.”
